Humans are social animals and crave love and attention. Everyone in our lives has the ability to make us feel happy. Of course, we can not like everyone and we do not always get along with everyone, but generally someone who is liked and who works to put their relationships first, experiences more happiness than people who don’t. What is more, spending your life in service of others can make you feel happier as well. When we put others needs above our own we experience happiness as a byproduct.
When you feel down and you think the world is against you, it is not, it is simply a reflection of your mind. The world is not against you, your thoughts are. When you change your thoughts, you will change your world. So, make today a great day by thinking positively.
What should we do to become a happier and less stressed out person? Well, we need to take care of our body, do light exercise, eat right, get the sleep your body needs and tend to the needs of your mental health through mindfulness and meditation. All of these things can help make you a happier person. By taking a walk in nature our bodies release endorphins and these endorphins trigger a positive feeling in the body. So, go on, take a walk outside today, your body and brain will thank you for you
Only when we have achieved inner peace can we hope to achieve world peace. Once Buddha was walking with a few of his disciples. While they were travelling, they happened to pass a lake. As Buddha was thirsty, he asked one of his disciples to get some water from the lake. When he reached the lake he noticed that a few people were washing their clothes in the lake. As a result, the water had become muddy and foul. The disciple could not possibly take the dirty water to Buddha. So he returned and told him the water was dirty and not fit to drink. A half hour later, Buddha again asked the disciple to get water from the same lake. This time, however, the disciple noticed that the water was crystal clean. The mud had settled down and the water was fit to drink. So he collected some water in a pot and took it to Buddha. Buddha looked at the pot of water and smiled. He said, See what you did to make the water clean? You did nothing. You just let it be. The mud settled on its own and you got pure water. Your mind is exactly like that. When it is disturbed, just let it be. Give it some time. It will settle down on its own. You do not have to put any effort to calm your mind. It will happen. It is effortless. Achieving inner peace is an effortless process which will happen on its own. The practice of mindfulness is where one observes the thoughts without reacting to them.
Heaven and hell are the same as happiness and sadness they are the minds creation. We have to try and find the middle way through these extremes By practicing mindfulness and meditation our minds become peaceful and we are able to deal with whatever life throws at us If we are happy we enjoy the moment and if we are sad we know it would not last We are able to stay on the middle path Don not search for happiness or fight sadness build a peaceful mind by practicing mindfulness and meditation
Sometimes we get iIts important at times like this to step back and remind ourselves what is truly important Remember that being able to see the big picture helps to keep things in perspective and lets you make more conscious choices We can lose the big picture because we give our attention to things that really are not all that important Ask yourself Will this matter one year from now If the answer is yes then it deserves your attention If the answer is no then let it go and move on
